Emergency Alert System Signup Procedure

Registration Code Not Received

If, after completing the registration form, you did not receive a text msg containing a 6 character alphanumeric registration code, please review the following FAQ to determine if your wireless service is compatible with the Emergency Alerts.

Q1) Is your wireless service provider listed below?

Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, CellularOne, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon

If yes, go to Q2.

If no, then your wireless service provider is not currently supported by the Emergency Alert System.

Q2) Do you have a text messaging plan with your wireless service provider?

If yes, go to Q3.

If no, you'll need to contact your wireless service provider to add text messaging to your service contract.

Q3) Are you on a prepaid cellphone?

If yes, prepaid cellphones are not currently supported by the emergency alert system.

If no, please contact your wireless service provider to determine why your text messaging service is not functioning correctly.
